Atlanta Gas Light Announces Several Senior Management Appointments

Atlanta Gas Light Company (AGLC) today announced several changes to its leadership structure further solidifying its commitment to being a world-class industry leader. "I'm pleased to announce these new management appointments within our company," said Paula G. Rosput, President and CEO of AGL Resources Suzanne Sitherwood has been named Vice President, Engineering and Construction. Sitherwood, a 20-year veteran with AGLC and most recently its Chief Engineer, will have responsibilities for new business construction, pipeline replacement, regulatory compliance and Department of Transportation accountability issues. William Peeples has been named as Vice President of New Business and Marketing. He will oversee the new business and marketing areas of Atlanta Gas Light, Chattanooga Gas and Virginia Gas. In this role, Peeples will focus on retaining existing customers, attracting new customers, and providing valuable service through programs such as appliance repair. Peeples, a 20- year veteran, also will be responsible for the company's market planning and analysis area and the natural gas vehicle sales and service group. In a newly created position, Mike Hutchins, a 27-year veteran, has been named Vice President of Business Process Innovation. Hutchins has held various roles throughout his tenure with AGLC, most recently as vice president of engineering. In this new role, Hutchins will have oversight responsibilities for the Synergy team -- which is heavily involved with automated dispatch, automated meter reading and developing a customer relationship management system. Synergy also is designed to provide business and residential customers with a seamless interface with AGLC. Hutchins will focus on additional strategic initiatives geared at exploring other ways that technology will enable AGLC to become more efficient. "Each one of these individuals have worked very hard in their respective areas, and have been placed in positions that I believe will not only strengthen our leadership, but also will enable us to meet the needs of the company and respond to the growing opportunities in the natural gas market," said Rosput.
