AGL Resources Inc. today announced the appointment of Kristin M. Kamm to the position of chief information officer. Kamm will report to Susan A. McLaughlin, executive vice president and chief operating officer of AGL Resources.

Kamm comes to AGL Resources from BellSouth, where she served as CIO, Consumer and Interconnect Services. In this capacity, she was responsible for managing the technology platform for BellSouth's nine-state residential and interconnection marketplaces. Kamm also played a leadership role in the recent implementation of Oracle's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution. This program was a critical element in the asymmetrical digital service line (ADSL) deployment effort, one of BellSouth's key 2001 imperatives. Her tenure at BellSouth also included a leadership position with the company's enterprise e-strategy and Internet storefront. Prior to BellSouth, Kamm was a vice president of NASD Regulation.

Kamm possesses a strong background in managing life cycle solutions including software delivery, data management, technology architecture, and cost/benefit analysis. She has held numerous posts managing budgets in the areas of financial applications, registration and licensing systems, and regulatory systems with leading companies including EDS, National Association of Securities Dealers and Universal Systems Incorporated.
