"SouthernLINC Wireless has consistently proven its value to the State of Alabama by giving state agencies a communications tool that is efficient and reliable," said Don Horsley, President and CEO of SouthernLINC Wireless. "Serving the state of Alabama well is important to everyone here at SouthernLINC Wireless."

SouthernLINC Wireless is the exclusive multi-state provider of iDEN Push To Talk (PTT) and cellular services in the Southeast.   SouthernLINC's highly reliable network is constructed with built-in redundancies, power back-ups, and security features designed to deliver consistent communications especially during severe weather conditions. Network reliability has been proven during and after major weather events including hurricanes Erin, Opal, Ivan, Katrina, the 2011 Tuscaloosa tornadoes, and 2014 Winter Storms Leon and Pax.

"SouthernLINC has continuously served both State and local government agencies in Alabama since 1997. Since our very first contract, we've been there with a team of dedicated professionals and our reliable Push To Talk two-way radio communications through all sorts of emergencies," stated Michael S. Smith, West Region Director of Business and Government Sales.

SouthernLINC Wireless uses Motorola's Integrated Digital Enhanced Network (iDEN) technology to provide the State of Alabama with PTT two-way radio communications. Alabama government users can connect with local municipalities, schools and utilities that use SouthernLINC Wireless PTT service as well.  This is a significant advantage in emergencies when critical communications to facilitate recovery efforts need to cross over organizational boundaries.
