"MOTOTALK brings our highly reliable Push-To-Talk network together with smartphones from other carriers," stated Rodney Johnson, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at SouthernLINC Wireless.  "Today's companies need a mix of wireless services, and MOTOTALK lets all members of a work team connect using our PTT 2-way radio service, no matter who provides the smartphone service," he continued.

The MOTOTALK app from SouthernLINC Wireless offers users unlimited PTT calling not just to individuals, but to groups as well. Whether trying to communicate with a friend, family member, co-worker or a fleet of workers, MOTOTALK gives you instant communication at the push of a button using a smartphone's high- speed data service.  Other features include a PTT call alert tone, cross-fleet calling functionality, and the ability to import PTT contacts from a phone's directory.  The app provides PTT functionality wherever a 3G, 4G or Wi-Fi data network is available across the U.S.

"With MOTOTALK, a smartphone user can be anywhere in the country and connect with a SouthernLINC Wireless phone inside our service territory," reported Quanique Cotton, Senior Project Manager at SouthernLINC. "Motorola created this app to emulate our iDEN Push To Talk technology, so we think it really is the best PTT app out there," she stated.

MOTOTALK can be used with any iPhone or iPad with an iOS 7 or later operating system and with any Android operating system device with version 2.3 or later.  The device must have at least 8 MB of available storage.  The MOTOTALK app requires 3G/4G or high-speed Wi-Fi network access to work properly.  SouthernLINC charges a monthly fee for each line of MOTOTALK service.  More details on the service and requirements are available at southernlinc.com/MOTOTALK.
