ABC Trust provides Efficiency Forward grants
Nonprofits to benefit from energy efficiency upgrades

The Alabama Business Charitable (ABC) Trust Fund has awarded Efficiency Forward grants totaling more than $174,000 to 19 organizations across the state in 2015.

Efficiency Forward, formerly known as the Nonprofit Energy Efficiency Program (NEEP), awards grants to nonprofits so they can make energy efficiency improvements to their facilities. The improvements help provide cost savings that nonprofits can pass on in services to their clients.

Since its start in 2007, the program has provided more than $1 million in support through 124 grants.

"These organizations provide meaningful services to their communities," said John Hudson, ABC Trust executive director. "By helping them better manage energy, we are helping them improve their ability to make a difference."
