May 2, 2016

Hundreds of children will join professional golfers Dori Carter, Hannah Collier, and Lisa Ferrero on Tuesday, May 3 for a Junior Clinic at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Capitol Hill in Prattville. The clinic is sponsored by Alabama Power.

During the interactive clinic, children in third through fifth grade will learn about the game of golf and how it promotes core values, including honesty, integrity, responsibility, courtesy, sportsmanship and respect.

"Alabama Power is excited to be sponsoring the Junior Clinic again this year and to have Dori, Hannah and Lisa with us," said Leslie Sanders, vice president of Alabama Power’s Southern Division. "It’s a fantastic opportunity to teach children about golf and the great life lessons it can provide."

Carter is a graduate of Ole Miss where she was a two-time All-SEC First-Team selection, as well as an NCAA All-American. She qualified for the LPGA tour on her first attempt and has recorded two Top-10 finishes.

Collier is a native of Birmingham and graduated from the University of Alabama where she was a member of the 2012 National Championship team as well as the 2013 SEC Championship Team. Collier is a rookie on the LPGA Tour.

Ferrero played college golf at the University of Texas where she was a member of the Big 12 Conference Championship team. She earned All-Big 12 Conference honors both athletically and academically.

The clinic will begin at 10 a.m. on the driving range at Capitol Hill. In case of inclement weather, the clinic will move to the skyboxes on the 18th green. Parking is available at the Clubhouse parking lot. For details, please contact Mike Jordan at 334-832-3309.
