BIRMINGHAM BOWL’S ALABAMA POWER YOUTH FOOTBALL CLINIC SLATED FOR JUNE 11 AT HISTORIC LEGION FIELD

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Youth football players from Birmingham and the surrounding areas are invited to attend a free half-day football fundamentals clinic on Saturday, June 11 from 9 a.m. to noon at historic Legion Field in Birmingham.

The Alabama Power Youth Football Clinic presented by Coca-Cola and hosted by the Birmingham Bowl is open to the first 200 youths, ages 8-13, to register online at www.birminghambowl.com. Participants are required to bring a signed waiver on the day of the clinic. Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m. at Legion Field’s Gate 7, with the clinic set to run 9 a.m. to noon. Free parking is available at Legion Field on the day of the clinic. For additional information, contact the Birmingham Bowl office at 205-733-3776.

UAB football coach Bill Clark and his coaching staff will lead the clinic, giving attendees the opportunity to participate in on-field agility drills and offensive and defensive training. Each attendee will receive a complimentary T-shirt, lunch and two tickets for the 11th annual Birmingham Bowl on Thursday, Dec. 29.

"We are pleased to again partner with Alabama Power and other sponsors to provide area youths the opportunity to receive on-field instructions from Coach Clark and the UAB coaching staff. We look forward to a great turnout this year at Legion Field," said Mark Meadows, executive director of the Birmingham Bowl.
