Community, business leaders to celebrate successful launch of AL Solar A facility

What: Community and business leaders will gather to celebrate the successful launch
and operation of the 72-megawatt solar facility, which supports Walmart and its
sustainability goals.

             Media is invited to attend a short program and ribbon-cutting featuring Walmart
             Director for Energy and Strategy Analysis Steve Chriss, Alabama Power Senior                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Vice President and Senior Production Officer Jim Heilbron, and facility operator
             Clēnera CEO Jason Ellsworth. State and local officials also will attend.

When: Thursday, March 15, 10-11 a.m. Media is encouraged to arrive around
9:30 a.m. to set up.

Where: AL Solar A facility – 11475 County Rd. 83 LaFayette, Ala. 36862

From Birmingham: Head east on U.S. 280 for about 86 miles. Turn left onto Old 280 Road for 1.2 miles. Turn left onto AL-50/Sen Claude Pepper Drive for 18.4 miles. Continue on Chambers County 83 for 1.1 miles. Look for signs to parking area.

From Auburn: Head north on Interstate 85 for about 9 miles. Take exit 70 for Chambers County 388 toward Cusseta for 0.2 miles. Continue on Chambers County 83 for 9.9 miles. Look for signs to parking area.
