Gulf Power NewsFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Dec. 3, 2018 Hurricane Michael shifts Gulf Power Economic Symposium to AprilGulf Power is excited to announce new dates after postponing its 22nd Economic Symposium in October because of Hurricane Michael. The new dates are April 17-18, 2019 at Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort in Miramar Beach, Florida. The theme will remain the same: Our Time. Our Place. Our Now! The energy provider is planning to have a similar agenda and speakers. The Gulf Power Economic Symposium is the longest-standing conference in the region focusing on Northwest Florida economic growth. It brings together more than 600 of the region’s business and community leaders to learn and discuss the future of Northwest Florida with a focus on regionalism and continuing to build on a vision to create long-term prosperity for all Northwest Floridians. Since the 22nd annual event has been shifted to 2019, Gulf Power will not be hosting the 23rd annual event in October 2019. The Symposium team is exploring permanently shifting the event to a date outside of the hurricane season. More details about opening up registration to new attendees will be available in January.
