“A Watershed Event” - Renew Our Rivers issues call for boaters

 

 

 

 

GULFPORT, MS – Mississippi Power’s nationally recognized, award-winning Renew Our Rivers event, scheduled this year May 13-16, welcomes all volunteers with boats to join the company in cleaning up the waterways.

 

“Renew Our Rivers is designed to free as many waterways as possible of litter and debris, bringing these impressive bodies of water back to their pristine grandeur,” said Mississippi Power Renew Our Rivers Event Coordinator and Senior Environmental Specialist, Flinda Hill. “We welcome all water enthusiasts to join us as we do our part to serve the environment we enjoy so much.”

 

This year’s effort, now in its fourth year, will touch seven waterways and reach throughout the company’s service territory from the Coast to Meridian.
