Volunteers to clean Weeks Bay, part of Renew Our Rivers campaign, on May 8
What: The 14th annual Weeks Bay cleanup is Saturday, May 8. Volunteers will meet at the Fish River Marina under the bridge at U.S. Highway 98 at 8 a.m. for registration. The cleanup will end at noon and includes lunch. Volunteers with or without boats will pick up trash along Weeks Bay, Fish and Magnolia rivers and their tributaries. This Renew Our Rivers cleanup is coordinated by the Weeks Bay Reserve. In 2009 volunteers removed almost 2 tons of trash from Weeks Bay.
