Alabama Power board of directors elects Smith as vice president
The Alabama Power board of directors has elected Donna D. Smith as vice president with responsibility for Human Resources and Ethics. In that role, she will be responsible for Alabama Power Labor Relations functions, Ethics, Wellness, Safety, Health and Disability Management, as well as for delivery of Human Resources products and services to Alabama Power Company employees throughout the state. Now in her 25th year with Alabama Power and Southern Company, Smith most recently served as director of Human Resources for Alabama Power. Prior to that, she worked in staff and management positions in Marketing, Leadership Development and Corporate Services. “Donna’s keen understanding of our business, our employees and our culture make her an ideal choice to take on these additional responsibilities,” said Alabama Power President and CEO Charles McCrary. “Honesty, integrity and treating everyone with respect are principles that have guided Alabama Power for more than a century.
