Volunteers roll up their sleeves for cleanup on Lake Eufaula, part of Renew Our Rivers campaign
What: The 6th annual Weiss Lake Renew Our Rivers cleanup will be Saturday, March 5 at 7:30 a.m. Volunteers will meet at the U.S. Coast Guard Station in Eufaula. The cleanup will conclude at 11:30 a.m. with lunch. These Renew Our Rivers cleanups are being coordinated by the Friends of Lake Eufaula. In 2010, more than 120 volunteers removed nearly 3 tons of trash and debris from Lake Eufaula. Traveling north on Highway 431, take a right onto Chewalla Drive. Traveling south on Highway 431, take a left onto Chewalla Drive. The U.S. Coast Guard Station will be on your right.
