Southern Company contributes additional $6 million to National Fish and Wildlife Foundation
ATLANTA – Southern Company has pledged an additional $6 million to the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation and extended its partnership with the organization to 10 years.
The financial contribution, which will benefit the Power of Flight and Longleaf Legacy programs, also includes a new $1.2 million, five-year commitment to the Environmental Protection Agency’s Five Star Restoration program to renew wetlands in the Southeast.
Since it began its partnership with the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation in 2002, Southern Company has contributed more than $2.6 million through 48 grants to the Power of Flight and Longleaf Legacy programs.
