Ware named Legislative Affairs manager for Alabama Power
Foster L. Ware III has been named Legislative Affairs manager for Alabama Power. Ware will be responsible for monitoring state legislation and its possible impact on Alabama Power customers.
“We are excited to have Foster as a part of our team,” said Quentin Riggins, Alabama Power’s vice president for Governmental Relations. “His knowledge of Montgomery, communication skills and previous experience in state government make him a perfect fit for this position.”
A native of Montgomery, Ware joined Alabama Power in June 2011 as an Industrial Account manager in Energy Sales and Efficiency, where he helped customers identify energy savings and conducted economic analysis of equipment for efficiency audits.
Prior to joining Alabama Power, Ware served as director of Cardiovascular Solutions at Sg2-LLC in Skokie, Ill., and as Government Affairs manager at Merck & Co., where he was a registered Illinois lobbyist.
Ware holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, where his studies focused on Health Industry Management and Marketing. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Tuskegee University and was named to the 1993 Coca-Cola Division II All-Academic Football team. He served on Tuskegee University’s Board of Trustees from 2004-2008 and is an active member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc.
Ware and his wife, Linda, have four children, Foster (IV), Logan, Lauren and John Parker.
