Alabama Power Names New External Affairs Manager
Fincher to represent company in Shelby County and south Jefferson
T.J. Fincher was named External Affairs manager in February. Fincher is responsible for external relations in southern Birmingham Division, which represents south Jefferson and Shelby counties.
“We’re glad to bring T.J. on board in this capacity,” said Bobbie Knight, vice president of Alabama Power’s Birmingham Division. “His knowledge of our company and our customers’ diverse needs is strong, and he will be a great partner with the communities we serve in the southern part of the Birmingham Division.”
Beginning his Southern Company career in 2000 as an account executive for SouthernLINC in Huntsville, Fincher transferred to Alabama Power in 2002 as a commercial account manager. He assisted with large commercial construction projects such as the Birmingham baseball stadium, the BJCC/Westin Hotel and Marketplace and the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth Airport renovation. He also maintained working relationships with key customers including the city of Birmingham, Birmingham Board of Education, Jefferson County Commission and Jefferson County Schools.
Fincher graduated from the University of Alabama in 1999 with a B.S. in Business. While working at Alabama Power, he received his J.D. from the Birmingham School of Law and passed the Alabama State Bar in 2010.
T.J. is active in several organizations, including the United States Green Building Council, the American Institute of Architects, the Friends of Rickwood Field, the Birmingham Bar Association and the Birmingham Volunteer Lawyers Program. |
