Employees safely return Plant Hatch's Unit 2 to service following planned maintenance outage

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., May 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Unit 2 of the Edwin I. Hatch Nuclear Plant near Baxley, Ga., has resumed generating electricity after a successful, planned maintenance outage. Electricity production resumed today at 5:25 a.m. ET.

Also during the outage, Plant Hatch's Unit 1 continued to safely generate electricity.
