Hildebrant named area manager of Alabama Power’s Eastern Division
Steve Hildebrant has been named area manager for the north region of Alabama Power’s Eastern Division. In his new position, Hildebrant will be responsible for external affairs and the business office operations in Etowah, Blount and St. Clair counties. “We are excited to have Steve stepping into this crucial role for our team,” said Julia Segars, Alabama Power’s Eastern Division vice president. “His vast knowledge of the area, strong relationships with local customers and diverse work experience at the company make him a perfect fit for this position.” Hildebrant began his career with Alabama Power in 1980 as a co-op student in the Anniston district engineering department. He is a graduate of Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. Hildebrant brings more than 25 years of experience to his new role – having held positions in residential, commercial and industrial marketing, many of which were in east Alabama. Hildebrant has also long been involved in the community. He chairs the advisory board for the Salvation Army and the Longleaf Botanical Gardens committee in Anniston. He is a director of the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce, United Way of East Central Alabama and a member of the Calhoun County Homebuilders Association. Hildebrant succeeds Jim Freind, who was recently named distribution manager for Alabama Power’s Southeast Division. Alabama Power, a subsidiary of Atlanta-based Southern Company (NYSE:S), provides reliable, affordable electricity to more than 1.4 million customers across the state. |
