More than 500 plan to attend Gulf Power’s Economic Symposium
The 17th annual Gulf Power Company Economic Symposium, a highly anticipated event focusing on Northwest Florida’s economic future, is scheduled for Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 at the Baytowne Conference Center in Sandestin. Scheduled speakers include Jeremy Gutsche, founder of TrendHunter, co-host of “Trend Hunter TV” and author of “Exploiting Chaos: 150 Ways to Spark Innovation During Times of Change”; Michelle Hurdle, director of Economic and Community Development, Airbus Americas, Inc.; Don Gaetz, Florida Senate President; and Will Weatherford, Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives. Gov. Rick Scott is also invited to give an opening message at the conference. This year’s theme, Building the Future, brings together speakers who will discuss a wide range of topics from Creating a Culture of Innovation to reviewing Northwest Florida Demographic Shifts.
