What:                         The Renew Our Rivers Lake Wedowee cleanup is
                                   Saturday, Oct. 26.Volunteers should report
                                   at 8 a.m. to the Highway 48 boat ramp.

Overview:                  Volunteers for Renew Our Rivers, one of the Southeast’s
                                   largest river cleanups, have collected more than 10
                                   million pounds of trash and debris since the program’s
                                   inception in 2000. This year, 30 cleanups are planned
                                   through November on the Alabama, Black Warrior,
                                   Cahaba, Chattahoochee, Coosa, Mobile and Tallapoosa
                                   rivers and various lakes throughout the state.

Directions:                From Anniston: Travel on Highway 1 toward
                                   Roanoke. Take a right and travel west on Highway 48

                                   toward Lineville. The boat ramp will be on the right

                                   as soon as you cross the Tallapoosa River.
