Gulf Power Company announced that it has launched a new design of its website, MyGulfPower.com. The new design is responsive, meaning it automatically conforms to whatever type of device you are using, whether computer, tablet or smartphone.

“With constantly changing technology, it’s important our website be flexible and fit different formats,” said Natalie Smith, Gulf Power spokesperson. “We realize that more and more people are on the go, so having a website that is compatible with new mobile technology is vital. Now you can get to MyGulfPower.com from anywhere.”

Part of the design includes an innovative navigation feature that was added to the site so users can browse different pages and still know where they are on the site.

“The new navigation is called a breadcrumb, because you can see the path you took to get to a page and then follow it back to where you started,” said Smith.

Once customers are on the new site, they can access many more features by setting up an online account — just go to MyGulfPower.com and click on “Sign Up” under “Log In to My Account” on the left. Customers who already have an online account with Gulf Power will automatically have access to these features and simply need to log in to view them.

Recently launched features on the site include My Power Usage where customers can track their daily power use as well as an interactive outage map that lets customers see where the power is out and provides an estimated time of when the power should be restored. In addition, customers can sign up to pay their bills online and get great tips and rebates to save energy and money.
