Service allows customers to set customized notifications via text, phone or email
ATLANTA, Nov. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Georgia Power announced today that it has added a new outage notification option to its online Outage & Storm Center at www.georgiapower.com/storm. The new service, available once customers have signed in to their online account, enables them to choose from multiple notification options, including text message, phone call and email. Once an option is selected, customers automatically receive personalized updates should a power outage occur at their home or business due to severe weather, traffic accidents or other causes.
