At a meeting held on October 26, 2007, the board of directors of Alabama Power Company declared a partial quarterly dividend on an outstanding issue of the company's preference stock as follows:

These dividends are for the quarter ending December 31, 2007, payable January 1, 2008, to shareholders of record on December 17, 2007.
