TALLASSEE, Ala. - Nov. 7, 2008 - Lake Thurlow will be lowered approximately four feet for routine dam maintenance. Work at Thurlow Dam is expected to start Nov. 17 and be completed by Nov. 20. Alabama Power expects the lake to return to normal elevation Nov. 20.

Lake elevations are always subject to change, depending on conditions and other factors. Individuals with boats and other water-related equipment and facilities should be alert to changing conditions on Alabama Power reservoirs and be prepared to take the necessary steps to protect their property.
