Georgia Power announces management changes
In a move designed to strengthen the companys leadership team in advance of anticipated industry change and new challenges, Georgia Powers Board of Directors approved the following management changes on May 17:
Houston and Holmes will share responsibility for Region Operations with Jim Manley, already a vice president in Region Operations, who will be responsible for the northern portion of the state. We have matched a talented and expert group of individuals with the geographic areas and parts of the business they know best, said Georgia Power President and CEO David Ratcliffe. As the company moves forward into what is certain to be a decade of industry change and transition, its now more important than ever to build a strong, diverse leadership team of talented experts who have a thorough knowledge of Georgia Power, our customers and our employees. In particular, electing vice presidents of Transmission and Distribution became a strategic necessity because of changing federal policies and sweeping industry changes that are occurring nationally, Ratcliffe explained. |
