At approximately 8:20 p.m., power was restored to some 11,000 Savannah Electric customers east of the Wilmington River. The customers were without power due to a problem originating on a 105 ft. utility pole just east of the Islands Expressway bridge.

The outage, which occurred at 3:18 p.m., was due to a burned jumper wire.
