Southern Company, the $35 billion Atlanta-based global energy company, has signed an endorsement agreement with senior tour golfer Joe Inman.

Inman, 50, has agreed to display a Southern Company logo on his cap and shirt sleeve during all Senior Professional Golf Association Tour events and related appearances. In addition, he will make several personal appearances on behalf of Southern Company.

“Joe Inman is highly respected for his extensive knowledge of the game and his outgoing, friendly personality,” said A.W. Dahlberg, Southern Company’s chairman, president and chief executive officer. “He will become an important part of our customer relations efforts, especially when you consider the fact that he is a local resident.”

Inman turned professional in 1972, and was the winner of the 1976 Kemper Open. In 1969, he was the North and South Amateur Champion and a member of the Walker Cup Team. This is his first year on the Senior PGA Tour.
