Southern Company unit awarded Mall of Georgia and Lenox Square security equipment contract

ATLANTA— PowerCall, Inc., a business unit of Southern Company, announced today that it has been awarded the security equipment contract for the two largest shopping malls in Georgia—the Mall of Georgia and Lenox Square—which are owned by Simon Properties Group, Inc.

PowerCall has installed exterior cameras at the Mall of Georgia to monitor the parking lots and will install interior and exterior cameras at Lenox Square to monitor both the parking lots and inside of the mall. The cameras will provide high-resolution color by day and monochrome by night, and will record 24 hours a day.

The Mall of Georgia and Lenox Square are the two largest malls in Georgia. Lenox Square has 1,426,000 square feet and is anchored by Rich’s, Macy’s and Neiman Marcus. Nordstrom, Lord & Taylor and JC Penney anchor the Mall of Georgia, which recently opened with 1,600,000 square feet.
