‘High Voltage’ art exhibit opens today
Local artists offering original works for the holidays

The public is invited to an opening reception for “High Voltage,” an art show and holiday sale featuring works from Alabama artists. A reception will take place today from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Alabama Power Archives Museum, 600 N.18th St. in downtown Birmingham.

Work submitted by established and emerging Alabama artists ranges from original paintings to ceramics, metal and glass artwork.

“High Voltage” offers a unique opportunity to find one-of-a-kind, original pieces from Alabama artists – perfect for holiday gift-giving or decorating.

The Alabama Power Archives Museum is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the ground floor of the company’s historic 1925 building. Please enter via the main, atrium entrance for corporate headquarters and stop at the front desk for a pass. “High Voltage” runs through Jan. 8, 2016.
