Savannah Electric to extend hours of operations for its Springfield bill payment office

ATLANTA – Savannah Electric’s Springfield bill payment office, located in the Springfield Area Office at 149 Power Co. Road, off Hwy. 119, will extend its hours of operations to offer more convenience for customers desiring to handle account needs in person.  Effective Monday, June 5, the new full service office hours will be Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

“We’re continuously evaluating and increasing our level of commitment to our customers,” said Stan Sparks, Springfield Area Manager.  “As part of the Georgia Power/Savannah Electric merger, these new service hours for the Springfield office are a reflection of this commitment.”

The Springfield bill payment office will continue to handle customer needs, such as service orders and requests, walk-in inquiries, as well as bill payments.

Georgia Power is the largest subsidiary of Southern Company, one of the nation’s largest generators of electricity.  The company is an investor-owned, tax-paying utility, serving customers in 57,000 of the state’s 59,000 square miles. Georgia Power’s rates are well below the national average and its 2 million customers are in all but six of Georgia’s 159 counties.
