GULFPORT, Miss., Feb. 12  — Due to winter weather conditions Mississippi Power customer offices in the Coast Division will remain open until 4 p.m. today, except for the Lucedale and Richton locations.

Mississippi Power customer offices in the Pine Belt Division that are currently open, will remain open until 4 p.m. today. Those office locations are Lumberton, Picayune, Poplarville and Purvis.

 

Pine Belt Division customer offices that are currently closed, will remain closed for the day. Those office locations are Columbia, Ellisville, Hattiesburg, Laurel, Sumrall and Waynesboro.

 

Customer offices in the Meridian Division will remain closed for the day due to winter weather. Those locations include downtown Meridian, Bay Springs, Forest, Heidelberg, Newton, Quitman, Stonewall, Taylorsville and Union offices. Originally, the offices were scheduled to open at noon today, but with road conditions deteriorating rapidly and snow continuing to fall, road travel may become dangerous.

 

Crews remain prepared to respond to the winter weather event.
