Alabama Power board of directors elects Weaver as new officer

Alabama Power’s board of directors announced today the election of Bob Weaver as an officer and vice president of Corporate Services.

 

"A family-centered man, Bob's roots are deep in Alabama and he will provide excellent leadership for Alabama Power," said President and CEO Charles McCrary. "He has been very active in civic groups and will be an ambassador to our customers and community leaders."

 

Weaver comes to his position previously serving as assistant to the executive vice president. He graduated from Auburn University in 1980 with a bachelor of

science degree in industrial management.  Weaver began his career in Human Resources with Alabama Power in 1980 and worked through positions of increasing responsibility.  

 

The Lafayette native was previously general manager of Supply Chain Management in Birmingham. He was statewide manager of Residential Sales from 2001-2006; and served for more than 20 years in positions in Human Resources, Power Delivery, Engineering and Operations, Commercial and Residential Marketing, and Sales and Service.

          

Weaver and his wife, Brenda, have three sons.
