Alabama Power names Hutto as Southeast Division VP

Alabama Power’s board of directors announced today the election of Richard Hutto as an officer and vice president with responsibility for the Southeast Division based in Eufaula. 

 

"Richard Hutto will be a great asset to Alabama Power and our customers in the Wiregrass region," said President and CEO Charles McCrary. "He has considerable business experience and we are fortunate to have him leading our Southeast Division.”

 

Hutto previously served as Alabama Power’s manager of Budget & Regulatory Planning.  He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and an MBA from Auburn University.  He began working with Alabama Power in 1980 as a cooperative education engineering student in Power Delivery.

 

During his 30-year career with Alabama Power, the Birmingham native has held numerous positions in Power Delivery, Marketing, Economic Development, Government Relations, External Affairs and Accounting, Finance & Treasury. Prior to assuming his current position, Hutto served as Auburn District Marketing manager, assistant to the senior vice president - External Affairs, and as manager of Federal Affairs in Washington, D.C.

 

Hutto and his wife, Alisa, have two daughters.
