BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Oct. 26, 2007 - At a meeting held on Oct. 26, 2007, the board of directors of Alabama Power Company declared a partial quarterly dividend on an outstanding issue of the company's preference stock as follows:

6.50% - $.338542 per share
 

These dividends are for the quarter ending Dec. 31, 2007, payable Jan. 1, 2008, to shareholders of record on Dec. 17, 2007.
