Alabama Power board of directors elects Allcorn-Walker as a new officer

The Alabama Power board of directors has elected Anita Allcorn-Walker as vice president and comptroller effective Aug. 13.  She replaces Moses Feagin who has been named vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer for Mississippi Power in Gulfport.

Allcorn-Walker had been serving as assistant comptroller for Alabama Power since 2006.  She joined the company in 1990 as an internal auditor and has moved up through managerial positions in the Accounting, Finance and Treasury organization.

“It is with complete confidence that we have asked Anita to direct the financial reporting and accounting functions for Alabama Power,” said Charles McCrary, president and CEO, Alabama Power.  “Her leadership and integrity make her uniquely qualified for this critical position.”

Allcorn-Walker has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Alabama and a master’s degree in business administration from Samford University.  She is a certified public accountant in the state of Alabama and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Allcorn-Walker and her husband, Robert Walker, have a son, Zachary, and a daughter, Anna Grace.
