Kilcoyne Named Vice President, Human Resources, for Southern Company

ATLANTA, Oct. 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Southern Company President Tom Fanning announced today that Stacy Kilcoyne has been named vice president, human resources, for Southern Company.

In her new role, Kilcoyne will oversee all human resources activities for the company, including compensation and benefits, talent acquisition, operations, employee and leadership development and diversity and inclusion.  Kilcoyne brings more than 30 years of experience to the position.

Kilcoyne joined Southern Company in 1977.  She progressed through varying degrees of supervisory and management positions in human resources, becoming an HR business team leader in 1999 and then, in 2006, director of human resources for Southern Company's generation group, adding the transmission organization to those duties in 2008.

She is a native of Dutton, Alabama.
