Genworth Financial Prices $400 Million Debt Offering

RICHMOND, Va., Nov. 17, 2010 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Genworth Financial, Inc. (NYSE: GNW) today announced that it has priced a public offering of ten-year senior notes in an aggregate principal amount of $400 million and with an interest rate of 7.20 percent per year. Genworth intends to use the net proceeds from this offering, together with cash on hand, to repay in full the outstanding borrowings under its two five-year revolving credit facilities. These facilities will remain available following the offering and will expire in May and August of 2012.

J.P. Morgan Securities LLC and Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated are joint book-running managers for this offering, which is expected to close on November 22, 2010.
