Third annual Power Run this Saturday

What: The Power Run is Saturday, March 5 at 8:30 a.m. at “The Mall” in Trussville.  All proceeds will benefit the Strong Kids program at the Trussville, Pelham, Greystone and Downtown branches of the YMCA of Birmingham, funding membership and program assistance to those in need.  Alabama Power’s employee volunteer group, the Alabama Power Service Organization, serves as the race organizer.

 Family friendly activities will include face painting, moonwalks, ice cream and more. 

 When:  Saturday, March 5
 8:30 a.m. – 10K and 5K chip-timing start
 10:15 a.m. – Strong Kids Run
 10:30 a.m. – 1-Mile Fun Run
 10:45 a.m. – Awards ceremony and YMCA check presentation 

Where: “The Mall” in Trussville behind the old Hewitt-Trussville High School. Take I-59N toward Atlanta/Gadsden and take exit 141 toward Trussville/Pinson.  Turn right onto North Chalkville Road/County Road 10 and travel for 0.9 miles.  Turn left onto Pine Street.  Parking is available at Pine Street and Parkway Drive.
