EarthCents programs popular with Gulf Power customers

Gulf Power customers are quickly signing up for a host of new EarthCents programs to help make their homes and businesses more energy efficient. One program was so popular it filled up in one day.

“One of our solar energy programs has already filled up for the year,” said Jeff Rogers, Gulf Power spokesperson. “But savings are still available for our solar water heating program and many others.”

Other EarthCents programs have followed suit. The utility’s variable-speed pool pump program has already received 70 applications. In addition, since June 20, 400 customers have participated in the Gulf Power HVAC tune-up program, and for the month of June, more than 900 customers completed Energy Checkups, either online or in person.

“Helping our customers save money by buying energy wisely is important to Gulf Power, and these new programs can help,” said Rogers. “These new incentives make energy efficiency more affordable than ever and it’s easy to apply.”

EarthCents programs feature something for every customer from homeowners to renters and business owners. Every customer can complete a free Energy-Check Up online or request an energy expert to come on site to help identify ways to save energy and money.
