Southern Nuclear Names New Vice President Fleet Operations Support

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Nov. 30, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Southern Nuclear Chairman, President and CEO Stephen Kuczynski announced today that Bradley (Brad) J. Adams has been elected vice president of Fleet Operations Support.

Adams brings more than 27 years of nuclear industry experience to his position. He comes to Southern Nuclear from Exelon's Byron Station where he served as the plant manager since 2008. Adams joined ComEd Corporation in 1991 and transitioned to Exelon where he held leadership positions at both the Byron and Quad Cities Nuclear Power Stations.

Adams earned bachelor's and master's degrees in nuclear engineering from the University of Illinois. He received his Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) certificate in 1999. Adams is a native of Paxton, Il.
