2013 Leadership Kemper County class announced

Gulfport, Miss. – Business and community leaders from Kemper County have been selected for the 2013 Leadership Kemper County class, a six-month program facilitated by Mississippi Power.

The group of 22 will participate in sessions facilitated by Mississippi Power on important topics such as health and human services, education, government, economic development and quality of life in the Kemper County area. The sessions will include information on the community, as well as training on leadership skills.

Following their graduation, the participants will take what they learn into the community to help Kemper County continue to grow.

“The community leaders who participated in our first two sessions returned to the community motivated to make a difference,” said program facilitator Joy Saucier, of Mississippi Power Community Development. “The 2013 class will be able to build on the lessons of the previous groups.”
