Electric utility storm experts from across nation gather in Birmingham to share information
Media availability with meeting co-chairs at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday

 

What:             Experts in storm recovery from nearly 30 electric utilities are meeting at the Birmingham Sheraton Monday and Tuesday,
Feb. 18-19, to discuss best practices related to power restoration following natural disasters. The meeting co-chairs – Danny Glover, vice president of Distribution for Alabama Power, and Keith Hull, vice president of Distribution for Texas-based Oncor – will be available to speak with the media outside Ballrooms 3 & 4 of the Birmingham Sheraton Hotel at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.

 

Overview:     The meeting is being conducted by the Association of Edison Illuminating Companies (AEIC), one of the oldest associations in the electric utility industry. AEIC is made up of utilities from across the United States that exchange information about best practices. The meeting is hosted by Alabama Power.
