ATLANTA - Feb. 14, 2008 - Southern Company's 2008 Financial Analysts Meeting will be presented in a live audio Webcast Feb. 26.

"Delivering Value in a Changing Environment" will begin at 8 a.m. EST with a panel discussion about the utility subsidiaries with Alabama Power CEO Charles D. McCrary, Georgia Power CEO Michael D. Garrett, Gulf Power CEO Susan N. Story, and Mississippi Power CEO Anthony J. Topazi. The panel discussion will be followed by an overview of the Southeastern economy by David E. Altig, Senior Vice President and Director of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.

"Energy Resources for a Changing World" will be presented by various speakers. Southern Nuclear President and CEO J. Barnie Beasley will discuss nuclear; Southern Company Senior Vice President of Research and Environmental Affairs Chris Hobson and Southern Company Project and Research Manager Larry Monroe will discuss coal and IGCC technology; Southern Company Generation Executive Vice President and Chief Production Officer Jerry Stewart will discuss natural gas and hydro; Southern Company Executive Vice President of Supply Technology, Renewables and Demand Side Planning Leonard Haynes will discuss renewables and energy efficiency; Southern Company Generation Executive Vice President of Engineering and Construction Services Ed Day will give an environmental construction update.

These presentations will be followed by a company financial overview by Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer W. Paul Bowers.
