Gulf Power to host alternative fuel vehicle conference and expo

Gulf Power Company and the Florida Emerald Coast Clean Cities Coalition is inviting community leaders, business owners and fleet managers to Gulf Power Company’s Corporate Office on Friday, Nov. 15 from 9 a.m. – noon to see and learn about the growing range of alternative fuel vehicles.

With a goal to reduce the nation’s dependency on foreign oil and reduce tailpipe emissions, the Clean Cities Coalition will have a variety of vehicles on display, including electric vehicles, compressed natural gas vehicles, propane-powered vehicles and biodiesel. Many of the vehicles are designed for commercial use for fleet managers and business owners.

Partners include Pensacola Energy, Okaloosa Natural Gas and the West Florida Regional Planning Council.

The conference will feature speakers who will present information on Electric and Compressed Natural Gas vehicles and will conclude with the Vendor Exhibit. This event is open to the public at no charge. The public can visit with industry leading vendors and learn about innovative alternative fuel vehicle technologies and new products to increase energy and fuel efficiencies.
