DATE: Saturday, Mar. 29, 2008 (Rain or Shine)

TIME: Registration begins 8 a.m. Cleanup begins 9 a.m.  Free hot dog lunch and T-shirts while supplies last!!
 
SITE: The soon-to-be Harvey Reed Park, Polly Reed Road, just off Center Point Parkway, Center Point, Alabama. From I-59 take exit 134, Roebuck Parkway. Go north on the parkway 3.5 miles. Turn right       onto Polly Reed Road. Park site is about 0.7 miles on the right.
                        
BACKGROUND: This is the fifth annual volunteer event along Five Mile Creek. Past events have taken place in Brookside, Tarrant, Fultondale and the Huffman-Roebuck area of Birmingham.

THIS YEAR’S EVENT:  Volunteers will help complete a playground, clean the site, finish building a walking trail and other tasks.

The Five Mile Creek Volunteer Event is a project of the Five Mile Creek Greenway Partnership and the Alabama Power Service Organization- Magic City Chapter.  The  events help restore Five Mile Creek and raise awareness about the ongoing development of the 28-mile Five Mile Creek Greenway.
