State, Local Leaders Celebrate Alabama River Cleanup Campaign

  What:      State and local leaders, including Alabama Power President and
             CEO Charles McCrary, honor hundreds of volunteers who have
             taken part in the nationally recognized Renew The Coosa annual
             river system cleanup. Leaders also plan to make a major
             announcement about the expanding campaign.

  When: Wednesday, March 12, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.  Program begins
             at 11 a.m. sharp.  Lunch will be served; media are invited.

  Where:     Alabama Power's Plant Gadsden. Goodyear Avenue, Gadsden.  See

                   Driving directions to Plant Gadsden:

  From Birmingham take Interstate 59 to the Gadsden exit #182
   (Interstate 759).

  Go to the dead end on Interstate 759.

  Turn left and proceed about 0.8 mile to Meighan Blvd.

  Turn right onto Meighan Blvd.  Travel 1 mile to the 3rd
   red light and turn left.  (This also is the turn for The Gadsden Regional
   Hospital.)

  Travel 0.4 miles to a dead end and stop sign.

  The entrance to Plant Gadsden is on your left.  The guard at the gate will
   direct you to the parking and meeting area.
