BIRMINGHAM, Ala.

Local schools will benefit when you enjoy Southern style and luxury living at Alabama Power's GoodCents Home Showcase. This magnificent new home will be open for tours June 16-30 in the new Harbor Ridge at NorthRiver subdivision off New Watermelon Road.

Proceeds from the tour will benefit the Tuscaloosa City Schools Education Foundation, Inc. and the Educational Excellence Foundation for Tuscaloosa County Schools.

Built from a Southern Living Plan, the stately home offers the elegance and conveniences you'd expect -- plus unique details that make it a masterpiece. And, with Alabama Power involved, you can count on energy efficiency and state-of-the-art appliances, too.

The home will be open from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays, and from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sundays. Tickets are $5 in advance and are available at the Tuscaloosa and Northport offices of Alabama Power. Tickets are $10 at the door.
