Alabama Power to Reschedule Lowering of Lay Lake For Mid to Late July Due to Heavy Rains
Alabama Power is delaying the June 20 - June 23 lowering of Lay Lake after continued heavy rainfall over the past week. The lowering will be rescheduled for mid to late July.
Heavy rainfall prompted a change in the scheduled lowering and refilling of the lake. Any changes will be announced on the company's automated Reservoir Information System at 1-800-LAKES11 (1-800-525-3711). Callers can use the keypad of a touch-tone phone by pressing 4-4-5 to reach the Lay Lake - Special Operations segment.
