BIRMINGHAM - July 28, 2008 - A study just released by J.D. Power and Associates shows Alabama Power ranks highest in residential customer satisfaction among 13 large utilities examined in the South.

The study factors include power quality and reliability, price, billing and payment, corporate citizenship, communications and customer service.
 
The study ranked both large and midsize utilities in the East, Midwest, South and West. Midsize utilities serve between 125,000 and 499,999 residential customers, while large utilities serve 500,000 or more.
