“We have matched a talented and expert group of individuals with the geographic areas and parts of the business they know best,” said Georgia Power President and CEO David Ratcliffe. “As the company moves forward into what is certain to be a decade of industry change and transition, it’s now more important than ever to build a strong, diverse leadership team of talented experts who have a thorough knowledge of Georgia Power, our customers and our employees.”

In particular, electing vice presidents of Transmission and Distribution became a strategic necessity because of changing federal policies and sweeping industry changes that are occurring nationally, Ratcliffe explained.
